AUTUMN UPDATES

The season is here where Alaska begins to see condensation on their windows in the morning and warmer jackets and boots are being taken out of the closets. Despite the colder weather, Autumn is my favorite time of year. I am reminded of God’s Glory and Creation as the trees begin to change.
I am awestruck by the beauty He shares when the Aurora dances in the sky or the sunrise and sunset have a pretty pink hues. I am grateful that (almost) all of the construction is coming to an end!  Whew! We have been BUSY this summer, so let’s talk about what’s been happening.

What did you do this summer? Drop us a comment/link to future events or adventures we should highlight or be a part of next year!

SOUL had a booth at several events including Bear Paw and Blueberry Festivals! It was so fulfilling to make connections with individuals who share our vision and mission to bridge this gap in our community. We had SOUL stickers made (Shoot us a message if you’d like to get your hands on one of those!)

Our biggest event of this year was our SoulCase with Chris D. Hawk. This benefit concert allowed for us to fundraise, make more connections, give prizes via the MEGA raffle, and enjoy an incredible evening of music and food with everyone who came to give back to or learn about Saving Our Unique Lives (SOUL).

It is both an honor and a privilege to break bread with members of the community to express our gratitude for the support.

“Hi! My name is Michael Singleton. I am the husband to the founder and CEO of SOUL. I was born in North Carolina, but have grown up in Alaska just about all of my life. I share two amazing boys with my wife, Jenae. I am a professional drummer and currently in school to pursue music business. I’m excited to be a part of SOUL to make a positive mark for our young adults and build communities.”

Michael’s official title on the Board is: Operational Director- Which means he’s the man behind the logistics. He ensures finances, agreements, policies, and client satisfaction are kept in order.

Thank you, Michael, for your time and encouragement as we pursue SOUL’s Purpose!
